Bio shock one really hit it out of the park with the great world building. The little sisters were so creepy too
18 0 ReplyRapture is definitely a Hall of Famer of narrative settings. Colombia doesn't hold a candle to it. Despite Infinite having a banger story and great gameplay, the flying city never had that something that Rapture does.
11 0 ReplyApologies up front for being Nit picky … but you have your comparison backwards.
it doesn’t hold a candle to Colombia
Based on the rest of your statement, I believe you mean that Columbia doesn’t hold a candle to Rapture.
The idiom means “worse thing” isn’t as good as “better thing”.
9 0 ReplyColombia had hope. It had an initial welcoming feel. Rapture felt foreboding before you even managed to get there.

This is a game I would love to see a remake of. I mean a total overhaul not just a slap some nicer textures on the models and tweak the lighting type of remake.
It had such a fantastic storyline and awesome characters that pulled you in. Same for Bioshock Infinite.
6 0 ReplyHonestly, I thought the remaster worked pretty well. I bought it in 2020 and had no idea what to expect, and it was pretty great

Can’t believe there hasn’t been a new one of these. Would be an instant buy
5 0 ReplyIrrational Games sorta disbanded, and got restructured into Ghost Story Games, which is much, much smaller.
They aren't really set up for Bioshock type games anymore.
2K has spun up a new studio, Cloud Chamber, which has been working on a new Bioshock for the last four years.
6 0 ReplyOhhh wow, ty for the info, I had no idea. I’ll have to look up info on cloud chamber!
4 0 ReplyAlso recommend checking out Ghost Story Games' announced title Judas if you haven't already.

Loved the aesthetic of this place. Couldnt get into Infinite, just didn't float my boat in the same way.
5 0 ReplyAhh, I'd re visit this game if it wasn't for my huge backlog...
I only played it on the PS3 and it had a tiny as fuck font if I remember correctly.
