As bad as SNL seems to have gotten, there was a funny throwaway line from Michael Longfellow in a sketch last Saturday. The sketch starts with him as a waiter and he says "I'll be back with some menus when I feel like it."
When you're waiting for the waiter so long, you feel that you are the real waiter
