TikTok users who would normally leap at the chance to identify an alleged criminal are standing down during the manhunt for the killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
As long as CEO's have a single moment of "Will this decision I'm about to make mean people might actually shank me?" resides in their thought processes, the world benefits.
If you are referring to "the only 'war' that matters is the class war" then I completely disagree.
There's a lot of struggles that people have to endure that have nothing to do with class and any failure to understand this will leave many bad parts of the system in place in people's minds and the structures of society.
So before the election I'm having a conversation with my oldest brother whose wife works for a hospital in admin and he was lamenting about the fact the CEO of the hospital was fired "because of all the illegals getting free healthcare". He was a tad upset when that garnered zero sympathy from me.
My brother, if you had socialized, single payer healthcare it would not only save you money, but would also cover all your so called 'fraud'. AND as a bonus you could still have (very inexpensive) private insurance.
But what do I know, I'm just living in a country that has that.
I'd say a hug to fend of the trauma of having a father that profited of the excruciating deaths of the untold masses, would be warranted. While I don't know their situation, if they happily profited along, not so much.
Remember, these people have wealth beyond our wildest dreams, they can distance them selves or even run away and still be set for life.
