Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston still share a strong bond years after "Malcolm in the Middle" went off the air, with Muniz recently sharing that Cranston 'checks in' on him 'every couple weeks.'
My favorite related story is that Frankie Muniz suffers from long-term memory loss, so he doesn't remember doing the show (specific moments become near impossible to remember if not recalled periodically). Bryan Cranston would call him up every couple of weeks and remind him of things they did during filming so Frankie wouldn't lose the memories.
Amazing.
EDIT: I just read a clarification Muniz made in 2022. It isn't a disorder (though he's had nine concussions), his memory just sucks. The rest of the story still applies.
Hey thanks for checking in! Not American but like to emulate a thanksgiving meal around this time. Currently resting up after making a pumpkin pie, cornbread, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Need to get the bird in soon. Hope you had a good one!
Plot twist: Cranston needs a new Jessie for cooking.
Seriously, though, I've never gotten anything but good vibes from that guy, and I keep hearing from people who've met him that he's a great guy.
Plus, his guest appearance in that episode of IASIP was fucking amazing - I think what we saw there was a combination of his best known characters, and they average out to something closer to his actual personality.
