Alert.
It's broken. The initiative die in BG3 is a d4, which makes the bonus from alert game-breakingly good.

Mostly just ASI, but I also get a lot of use from tavern brawler and sharpshooter. Trying a thing with spell sniper in my current run.

Polearm master is good for certain characters I feel.

Karlach zerker with polearm master and sentinel with the act 2 polearm is a beast of a character. She’ll lock down anything that comes close.
