For context, the author is one of the more influential members of the Federalist Society, the right-wing judicial takeover group. If you've lost him, you've lost a huge chunk of people who have historically funded the Republican party patronage machine.

Too little, too late to distance yourself from his garbage.
When we had a couple from NY in our place, the dude was all proud that NY finally got to convict him of his numerous crimes. I pointed out that NY also coddled him for years and did nothing until it was too little, too late.
That didn't sit well.
Any republicans here to be his fellows?
