Cars are very expensive, and stealing one could potentially bring destitution to those stolen from.

Pretty much Yeah. There was a post of a woman on reddit who had about 5k of stuff stolen from her and now she's turning to SW to make up the difference after the police wouldn't help/do anything. And many times a car, especially now, is more expensive than that.

This guy is such a wildcard that he fits many classes. I'd like to make the argument that's he's lawful good, because he took the car from bad people. But on the other hand he didn't know they were bad when he first stole the car. 🤯
stealing cars is good on the grounds of cars are bad
that makes him a car owner though
