Too Chubby

Most baby birds fledge when the nest they're in no longer serves a purpose and will only hold them back if they stay in it. Maybe this Screech Owlet (the bigger of 2 siblings) was also ready, but it seemed like he had no choice but to fledge soon or he would get stuck in that opening! Every time he poked up through the hole he had to wiggle himself up and into position just to sit and look around.
