It’s not just “Uncommitted” activists who are pressuring Kamala Harris on Gaza policy. Her own delegates are speaking out.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.
Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.
“They hit us on the head with ‘We Love Joe’ signs,” said Nadia Ahmad, a Florida delegate who snuck the sign into the convention under her clothing. Illinois Gov. “JB Pritzker was close by and they did nothing. Even the ushers did nothing. They just let other people hit us and grab the sign away from us.”
The sign they had is explained here:
On Monday, during President Joe Biden’s address to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, a Harris delegate was one of several members of the Florida delegation who unfurled a banner that read “Stop Arming Israel.” Other members of the Florida delegation stood up to block the banner, while some in the section and another section behind the protesters started hitting the banner and the people holding it with their own signs.

Still. All you had to do was repost; complying with the rule you broke, that was pointed out to you via the removal message. It's not like you were punished for it.
You chose to draw further attention to your rule breaking. Mods aren't babysitters; they're volunteers with limited time and lots of work to do.
Also; I've never seen an [active] automod on Lemmy, and given the pinned post about the other bot(s), they don't seem to be working as intended/very well. Not all that surprised it didn't notify you.
Keep in mind that matching the headline and pasting a link is often a real drag when posting from some mobile apps:
open article in browser app
copy article title
switch to Lemmy app
create new post
paste headline
switch back to browser app
copy link
switch back to Lemmy app
paste link
tap post
There’s a fifty fifty chance that when you switch back to the Lemmy mobile app, the OS will have “flushed” the current app state to save memory and you’ll be back at the main feed having lost your post. Depends on the app, device, how long you took to switch back, and amount of available memory.
It is the case that, at precisely the same time, both "rules are important and you're ignorant of them" and "rules don't matter stop whining" are true.
Humans love creating lose-lose situations. That's why humans are such an evidently self-limiting species. "Hey, poor people, I'm going to profit from exploiting natural resources, dooming the future of your children!" And then the poor people point out that, in fact, the rich business owners has descendants, also. "Oh no!"
