Gosh, I wonder why the CCP would want that leading up to an election to determine who will be in the White House through the end of the Davidson window.
Like the NSA did? Had to get the idea from somebody...

  I think it's more of people down voting because it is making light of the situation by trying to say their local government has already done it. Both are bad. People hate comparisons on here but it's like saying someone murdered someone and then saying "well the police do it all the time." They still commited murder, and that response comes as if it is a defense of their actions
This should have been assumed the moment the service went live.
Almost no one understands the incredible danger of social media fingerprinting but we are going to find out pretty soon, considering how fast these tools are being developed.
If repugnicans win this election I GUARANTEE social media data will be scraped to target individual citizen 'troublemakers'. Guaran-fucking-tee.
