Hands-on: The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is as iterative as it gets, and now $100 more expensive

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 6 has arrived, and despite costing $100 more, it feels like an incredibly iterative update.

- I have a 5. Now that the new Razr+ is out, and they seem to have addressed most of the previous issues, that's the one I'll be looking at next.
  Why? Samsung software. It's pervasive and hard to remove, or even often just to disable. And Samsung collects all of the data. It's crazy how much is shipped back to Samsung servers.
  If you don't care about that kind of thing, the hardware is nice. But I'm looking elsewhere for my next flip phone.
- It would be nice if the exterior display was just like an e ink one that showed a clock and notifications like the little lcds on old flip phone lids
Still no Dex, makes no sense when the SoC and hardware are more than capable.
- It makes sense when you factor in the development and maintenance cost. How many people have a desk with monitors, keyboard and mouse but don't already have a more powerful machine they use there?It's a high price to pay for the 1% of users that will ever try it.
  
  They already implement Dex on their high-end phones, let alone their A-Series.
  Why support and test and promote something for your mid-tier and then decide not to do it for this one premium model.
- And wifi 6e instead of 7, despite ultra having the same soc + has 7
I recently had to replace my phone and just needed something working. Not even a fan of Samsung but I bought a Z Flip 4 for like $300 and it has like a scratch or two on the screen I barely notice. It's been fantastic and I see no reason to really get a 5 or 6...
