[Request] filter comments from blocked instances
I would love a checkbox in the settings that would allow me to filter comments/ content from users at blocked instances.
Desired behavior: Block instance b.c, auto content filter on. Go to a post on instance x.y where user a@b.c has commented on, don’t see those comments.

When I block an instance, I expected not to see anything from it - the nuclear option, you’d say.
However, browsing a post from another community, I still see comments from users of the blocked instance.
Is this the designed behavior? If so, is there a way to change it to block all content emanating from that server?

The current lemmy implementation is indeed like this.
Short story, it blocks all of that instance's communities but not their users if you stumble stumble upon them elsewhere. I'm not taking about Voyager, that's how it's done in lemmy backend.
Although, I guess clients lile voyager could potentially implement their own additional blocking that includes users...I didn’t know that. I’ll edit the post as a feature request then. Thanks!
PS: Defederation would block everything from that instance, although that isn't a user setting, but an admin/server setting.
