I'm glad they specified they were exposed to 'chemical sludge' and not 'toxic sludge' or I would have thought they were being forced to read Twitter.

They probably are anyway.

That was such a weird and confusing thing to read... It shifts between a fictional first-person and third person perspective constantly.
