Facepunch issued an announcement for Garry's Mod players, to explain that a whole lot of user content is being taken down due to Nintendo.
At this point, I'll never buy anything from or for Nintendo again. Fuck this kind of shitty behavior
I saw some rumors that it was just a malicious 3rd party imitating Nintendo DMCA’s. It would explain why Nintendo would care about a 15+ year old game.
Garry himself got confirmation that it was actually Nintendo
Nintendo does takedown like this all the time. I haven't seen anybody actually point at evidence of fraudsters, and there is no reasonable benefit to doing this as a fraud. There is no avenue of profit.
