That position looks... painful
- "...And this is the fire selector lever. It changes fire modes between 'ouch,' 'owwww,' and "AAAAAAAAAAAGH.'"
  
  So that's why in the movies they always start to scream at some point while firing those things.
Something tells me this image has been edited.
- What makes you say that?
  
  Because men typically protect their nuts more than their life. I don't see any soldiers voluntarily absorbing the recoil from a machine gun with their nads.
