You can find incidents like this regularly all over Eastern Europe and the Balkans lol. The Ukrainian Parliament used to be very entertaining before 2022.

This was over the majority party's bill requiring any organization (charity, NGO, corporation, etc) who takes foreign money to register as a "foreign agent." The purpose, as described by the PM promoting the bill, is to stop liberal viewpoints from infiltrating their country. At the same time, they are applying to get into the EU, which requires liberal operations/view/laws/whatever. He said he is confused why the EU is opposed to it.
