Zach Swope watched almost 800 movies in 12 months
More than two movies a day for a whole year, it's way too much time
46 0 ReplyAnd in a theater, so quite a lot of money spent too.
29 0 ReplyPerhaps he used something like the program at Regal Cinemas. For around $20 a month, you can view unlimited movies.
30 0 ReplyMaybe he was like me as a teen, buy 1 ticket but go into another theater after the movie ended. Never thought to do it 700 more times though

That's nothing to be proud of
41 0 ReplyThat seems...excessive.
28 0 ReplyAs per Guinness World Records, Swope saw an eye-watering 777 movies between July 2022 and July 2023, eclipsing the previous record of 715 movies held by France's Vincent Krohn.
Swope, who was raising awareness about autism, even caught multiple movies several times – including The Super Mario Bros. Movie 35 times and Thor: Love and Thunder 33 times.
22 0 ReplyI feel for the guy's mental health having sat through that Thor movie so many times—easily one of the worst movies I've seen in years
22 0 ReplyI couldn't even finish it, I wonder how many times he just sat in the back with earplugs, an eyemask, and a blanket for a nap.

Knew he was autistic just by the fact he watched the same movie 35 times.
15 0 ReplySeeing that Thor movie once was 1 time too many. I can't imagine seeing it 33 times.

Why wouldn't they choose to watch a good movie over 30 times instead?
19 0 ReplyMaybe the good movies out at the time were too long. Mario was only 90 minutes.
Thor was 2 hours though so I’d have thought that you’d be able to find a better movie with a runtime of 2 hours.
9 0 ReplyThey that Mario movie was pretty alright.
4 0 ReplyProbably they had kids

I value this guy's statement that Across the Spider-Verse was the best movie, more than I value the selection of Oscar Best Picture
14 0 ReplyNeat....I guess. 🤷♂️
