Nooooo, fav banh mi place nearby has had a ~glow up and is now offering heaps more fancy things, looks like it's changed ownership. Unfortunately means it's no longer reasonable to nip there on a lunch break, boo.
... though I do need to try the Salted Vietnamese Coffee...!
Is there still boxes of tissues on the tables?
My fav local banh mi place is still slinging loaded rolls for $7.50 and is never that busy, I hope it never gets a glow up. The salted coffee sounds great tho.
I kind of hope Hungs Bakery doesn't sell out and go up market because the tofu banh mi is absolutely legit especially for that price and speed. But I'm guessing so long as those commission housing towers are the, Victoria Street won't gentrify like the rest of Richmond
