I grew up calling them “<color> ranger”. I don’t think anyone, at least in my part of the world at the time, called each member in full as a power ranger; only as a group.

I was kid at the time it originally aired in America.
I agree, its <Color> Ranger, or as a group, The Power Rangers.
Same and I’m from the southeast us.
Northwest US, same.
If you don’t add the power I have no context that you’re talking about power rangers
