Wouldn't the average Lemmy DM be the "Fediverse Chick" that was getting spammed since that's likely the only DM most people have ever received?

Huh. I actually haven't seen any mention of that since the community for reporting it / sympathizing/fantasizing about it shut down. Are people still getting them?
I may have gotten one or two after that but not many. And not for a few weeks. Maybe a few months now.
