Don’t compete with or emulate SpaceX, investors urge
Space startups have long been urged not to try to complete directly with the industry’s behemoth, SpaceX, but also shouldn’t emulate it, investors say.
“It sounds great, but you’re just adding to your capital needs,” said Noel Rimalovski, managing director of GH Partners. “If you are going for full vertical integration, you are basically consolidating all of the problems of the industry in your own house.”

Does no one remember, not so long ago, when VC funds would always ask if a startup was aiming to compete with Microsoft, or be acquired by it? What a defeatist and hollow view of markets and society.
Yeah this is such bullshit finance speak. SpaceX just recently rained down tonnes of debris on Turks & Caicos - so now they’re going after the FAA for basically saying “that was bad”.
The only reason for saying stupid shit like this is you’re profiting and/or you’re too scared to say anything different.
