I got one of them rolly ball mice you use with your thumb. Fucking game changer, it does not require any kind of flat surface.
Trackball ftw
I got a wireless handheld one and was great for couch gaming, I'd give baby a bottle and they would sleep so I didn't want to move and just used the trackball in one hand and a keypad on the other
