That's like one of the worst connectors to have when dealing with large dirty metal vehicles. 🙄
And its down near the back wheel and pedals. Thats gonna be real crunchy after a wet ride.
It's recessed with a rubber plug with an added o-ring. That's more protection than the barrel jack on my e-bike has.

It would still be better to have the charge point up on the top tube. Having it down near the pedals also risks it being damaged when using it to charge your phone.
Is the charging port of your ebike accessible during biking? With my e-bike, the connector is well protected while the battery is mounted.
Mine has a shitty rubber lid that opens up on its own, but it is at least high enough on the frame that its away from the wheels and pedals. I also have an internal connector that is exposed when I remove the battery, but that is a pain to access, the battery is very hard to remove.
Just to clarify, you're not a fan of the USB-C connector or just for the purpose of charging larger vehicles?
I'm not a huge fan of typec connectors and especially for purposes of charging larger objects. Chinese made typec connectors aren't standard complying in general (as in they often have wrong length) and you can't reliably tell what you can expect with any given cable, and it's hard to even find good cables longer thatn 1.5 meters even harder if it's 2 meters +. And connectors themselves aren't all that reliable and have a common problem of inner 'tongue' breaking in harsher conditions. etc. etc.

Given that most connectors are Chinese, even when used in products with non-Chinese brands, do you think your personal biases are perhaps getting in the way of your objective opinions?
Chinese off brand cables and connectors, my personal bias doesn't play a role here, they are objectively bad at making standard compliant usb.
But if they're making the majority of connectors on and off-brand and the majority are fine, clearly your language highlights that you're just a weird racist pushing a senseless agenda
Fucking hell, if you were just fishing for something to be offended about just say it, no need for this exercise. Off brand cables are shit, on brand usually have minimal qc.
