I don't think they need luck with NK troops, just enough ammo.
These are their more elite soldiers, on par with other professional militaries. They aren't sending their cannon fodder yet.

Compared to the hardened Ukrainian army.
They're going to get decimated.
That is definitely a factor that works in the favor of Ukraine. I would still not underestimate them, but I hope I am wrong and they are not able to provide enough for Russia.
