In the same boat, and watching fellow devs struggle with what would be the simplest things on Mac while simultaneously shit talking Mac at every opportunity has me perpetually puzzled.

Do you have some samples, on Soundcloud or otherwise? If you posted some here, multiple people could give making a drum track a shot, which might be fun to compare afterward.
Also, do you imagine people recording live drums or still use plug-ins, just in ways that you maybe wouldn't?
