Maybe some locally owned grocers do, but here in SF, both big chain markets and most small grocers sell the thick "reusable" actually-not-reused plastic bags.

Ha ha, I thought so too myself, until I looked into it a bit more, and as others have said it's a real location, and a favorite of photographers.

I live in San Francisco, where Waymos are ubiquitous, and I have to say that they're actually good drivers.

I've seen them make difficult turns, merge lanes in heavy traffic, and wait patiently while some car ahead of them puts on their emergency lights, and the driver runs inside to get their takeout, but the Waymo can't go around them due to traffic in the left lane.

It seems like a scam by the City to define such bits of land as parcels and sell them for revenue though...
