  • Pues considerando como son las noticias extranjeras sobre méxico, no los culpo del todo. Ninguna nota de las que he visto es critica o analitica te la situacion real todas pedaleaban la idea de que la eleccion de juezes es un gran paso democratico. Cuando se trata de su propio pais estan expuestos a noticias mas diversas y al ser algo personal para ellos la gente tiende a ser mas critica.

    Por lo que veo, la moyoria de la gente (aqui y en reddit) se tragan todos los choros de progreso "socialista" del pais y no se enteran de que con la otra mano nos estan jodiendo. Habemos muy pocos mexicanos aqui como para hacer contrapeso. Igual y conforme crezca el fedi llegan mas, pero de momento, paciencia. No es como si hubiera una alternativa viable y duradera, todas las demas redes son chingaderas corporativas y centralizadas.

  • Its been a while since I read about Haiti, but if I remember correctly, several years after haiti's revolution the french threatened them with warships demanding payment for the "loss of property" (aka slaves and stolen land) in exange of diplomatic recognition of their country and independence.
