Thank you for chipping in! !yiff@yiffit.net and !gfur@yiffit.net will always stay pretty vanilla, precisely because there's already other more niche communities which you can block if you don't like them.

Check out furryfediverse.org to join a furry instance. You can join mine which is packmates.org and I promise you'll get a super furry federated timeline since we only subscribe to furry relays. You can still follow anyone on Mastodon, of course, but I found that as a furry having a furry federated timeline is much more appealing.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've noticed this as well. Unfortunately there's not much I can do and will have to wait for Lemmy admins to fix it.

Tomorrow I'll have a look at their GitHub issues and publish a bug report if it hasn't been done already.

That's because they're not discovered on pawb.social yet. Search for them in the search page as !name@yiffit.net and they should come up after a few second or two tries.

The main communities will always be pretty tame. Extreme content should be posted to their communities, although as I said, I'll have a temporary soft ban on content that's really extreme until Lemmy has better ways for remote instances to remove our content without blocking us or until we're better established. Something like gore, would fall into the category.

To be honest we should probably create a community for suggestive / slightly sexual pictures. There's many of them and they don't exactly fit in the SFW community either. I guess we could also post them to !lfur@yiffit.net and !gfur@yiffit.net since they are slightly arousing.

Or we just leave and take our content elsewhere. In the end reddit itself doesn't generate any content. It's all user created. We just have to leave.

It's a known bug. It works if you select a language before clicking on "post".

Hey there! Time will be an issue, not money since believe it or not it's not much. I'll share more details about finances if I'll ever need some form of funding. What I will need more of is other admins / mods that can help me keep this running.
