Oh I definitely email at work. I meant in my personal life. Like, I can't remember the last time I emailed a friend or family member. But yeah I email at work, or for customer support, or to businesses and whatnot.
Honestly I really miss being able to record live TV with a VCR. I still watch tv with an antenna, mainly for football games, and it would be really nice if there was a way I could record them. Whenever I've looked into making my own DVR it just seems too expensive and confusing.
That's a good point. I guess if I'm in the situation where I have a lot to say; I'd rather just talk on the phone with someone. Now that I think of it, I feel like the telephone replaced physical letters before email even came along. But, I do highly respect the long-form communication of letters and email. It's just kind of rare these days.
When I open Firefox and go to lemmy.world, I am logged in. But if I click a lemmy.world link from Google, I am not logged in on that page. This is annoying because logging in from that page then requires 2-factor authentication. In general this makes upvoting or commenting on posts needlessly cumbersome.
(Note that I am clicking on a lemmy.world link, not another instance like lemmy.ml -- although, it would be really cool if it could somehow route me to lemmy.world's instance of that lemmy community -- I'm not sure if a workaround for that exists).
I thought this was a mini-pc to compete with the mac mini, until I realized its streaming only. I'd much rather cough up the extra $250 for the insane jump in power that the mac mini gives you.
I don't remember the last time I actually emailed someone I knew as a form of communication. I forward newsletters to my wife sometimes. The culture of texting, where you can take your time to respond (within a day or two), has kind of made email obsolete.
I wonder what the "significant" update to the first game will be. No mention of it in the article.
Man, what a failed experiment. It feels weird to say as a pats fan, but I feel bad for jets fans. What a shit show.
Changing the channel on the tv itself instead of having a clicker.
I hope this doesn't happen. From Soft games are too prominent on Xbox and Switch; I would feel bad for those fans. I don't mind them having a second party relationship every now and then like Demons Souls and Bloodborne, but to outright own them seems unnecessary.
