How easy is to get a prepaid SIM-card in the US for travel?
  • Mint Mobile uses the t Mobile Network. And they have a 7 day trial sim at Best buy for like 2 bucks you could just do two of those since you probably don't care about having the same phone number for both weeks. The bandwidth is limited though. Or you could get a month off unlimited for like 45 bucks.

  • Mint Mobile: Good or Bad?
  • I use it all over the western half of the USA. I'd say maybe 10-15 percent of locations where I have signal the actual speeds are abysmal. I think due to the mvno data being deprioritized but I can't say for sure. I still keep them because it's cheap but it can get annoying

  • Considering putting down cardboard between my beds. What do you think?
  • Yes I did exactly this with wood chips and it worked pretty good. The only downside was kneeling on wood chips instead of lawn meant I needed something to kneel on to protect my knees.

There were still occasional weeds that pokes through but they were easy to handle.

  • YouTube tests blocking videos unless you disable ad blockers
  • That's reasonable. I'd be fine paying but I just feel like the cost is too high for my usage. I don't use YouTube enough to justify the cost. If they had like a lower tier where for 5 bucks a month I could skip x ads or ads on x hours of videos I'd be a subscriber already.

    Back of the truck garden.

Living full time in an RV right now. Can't garden properly so I have a few small potted plants. Something was eating off my kale and shard so they are in the back of the truck.
