  • That's not gonna solve the problem when everything is switching to electric. It'll be even cheaper to power a vehicle like this, plus they can cram it with batteries to tout a high range. See: Hummer EV.

  • No, it's not that. It's a continual persistent reminder of the one thing in life that I really really want and basically everyone regardless of class, race, etc. gets while I've just been waiting many years for it and nothing happens.

Listening to lots of pop music is functionally the same as scrolling through a lot of glamorous Instagram posts. It reminds you that everyone else has it better while you seem left in the dust.

  • They should focus on performance over UI changes. It takes 20s to open on my fast gaming laptop. That's not far off from EGS and Windows itself. Meanwhile, the electron-based open source Heroic launcher takes 3s to open.

  • Me last year thinking I'm financially responsible: I'll never spend more than I need to survive, and I'll invest the rest!

Me this year after catching the motorcycle bug: Need... Faster... Bike...

  • It's worse for me. The Christmas songs are all about love and romance, the one thing I really can't receive. It's why I can't listen to pop music for an extended without feeling depressed. For me, a consumerist song is literally refreshing compared to the constant reminders of what I've missed and will seemingly never receive.

  • What I'm noticing is that the first game had 2015 graphics and on a medium to large city runs at cinematic framerates (20-30fps). On Cities 2 the graphics are a mishmash of 2010 and 2025 graphics that run somewhat poorly, but also stutter a lot. On my 10k city I'm getting 45fps average with low-medium settings with the recommended changes to improve performance, but large lag spikes are frequent.

  • I've been having playable framerates but they're not improving. On a 10k city I get about 45fps average but I frequently experience frame drops which definitely make it less enjoyable to play the game. My specs are Ryzen 9 5900HX, RX6800M, 32GB RAM
