  • Damnit, it's been years! How could you...

  • There's a lot of value in using an IDE, from just general formatting stuff to being able to tell what class functions do without having to dig into the class itself. Not to mention autocomplete.

There's lots of free solutions out there now, so if you're curious I'd give it a shot. I think you'll find once you start using one it'll be hard to go back to just a plain text editor.

I like vs code a lot, if you're looking for specific recommendations. It's lightweight and can be upgraded to do pretty much anything via extensions.

  • Kinda hard not to be when most people never expect anything good to ever happen again.

  • If you've ever played Myst, which was a point and click puzzle game from the late 80's early 90's, it basically adds the mechanics of that world into the game. The main thing is writing books that describe places that you can actually visit like a pocket dimension.

  • Kinda new to the whole sysadmin thing, but tmux has been an absolute game changer for me. No more remote desktop for long running processes, I can just do everything from ssh.

  • My first distro was Manjaro. It was really cool, but also I remember having some trouble getting things to work on it without super extensive troubleshooting.

  • Also, I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I had to comment on the website, couldn't do it on the mobile app. Something about language not allowed or something. Very odd

  • I personally like AE2 more. It's fun to work with the bandwidth of the 32 channels and plan the network carefully

  • I'd argue that they actually responded to this quickly and appropriately. They didn't try to sweep anything under the rug and provided tools to see if you're affected.

  • What's a tankie?

  • That's pretty cool, what version are you guys running?

  • Is that the weird picture of Cory? Lmao how did I not see that before

  • I use duckduckgo with Google as a backup for when what I'm searching for is too specific. I've had to use Google less and less lately though

  • Where are fitness centers 1-5?

  • I was using "active," but I just tried "new comments" and it's pretty cool

  • Save everything that comes in your motherboard box. Don't be the fool (me) who needs to buy m.2 screws on Amazon.
