Just Watched Cloud Atlas (first time)
  • It's my favourite movie but people either seem to love or hate it.

Started reading the book afterwards but didn't make it through the second half of the post apocalypse future story.

Usually recommend it to people since very few have seen it

  • In a black market, illegal deals are made in plain sight over the counter of everyday convenience stores
  • Never smoked, have lung disease and it triggers me so hard to see people fuck up the healthy lungs they were born with.

Weed smell stinks but it's better than tobacco at least. Nice that it has an edible option too.

Sad to see loss of progress on smoking rates

  • What's your fave movie of all time that you love to recommend to people?
  • Probably Cloud Atlas

It was a commercial failure so it's usually one that people haven't already seen.

Talented cast and directors passionate about the project.

It's extremely divisive, most people either love it or think it was a waste of time.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Who to vote for?
  • This is roughly how I vote and you have typed it all out better than I could

I would usually preference greens over a single issue party but they don't always get my first preference

  • Why stand in line to board an airplane?
  • This is the correct answer. If I'm on an overseas holiday I'm usually carrying an extra bag of medication.

If I wait I run the risk of no storage space near me and it getting stored away from me

  • Conservative politicians stoking Australia Day debate online with paid ads, analysis finds

Fair call I guess. I don't really care one way or another. But if you wanted to move the existing date rather than making a second it seems like a choice that might prove popular with people who don't want the date to move currently.

  • How common is smoking in Australia?
  • The rates have gone down and lots of people have moved to vaping as others have mentioned.

My take is that while it's prohibited in many areas the enforcement is shocking.

I attend a hospital outpatient clinic at least 6 visits per year (usually more for scans and stuff). It's prohibited on the hospital campus and has been for ages. Signs everywhere.

Don't think I've ever been in the last 10 years and not seen someone smoking.

Similar enforcement in city malls and other areas where it's prohibited. People only care if it's inside

  • Discussion on Concerns over Auto tl;dr bot
  • I like it.

The summaries it provides fall into one of the categories for me:

    • Ignore because I've already read the article

    • The summary is interesting enough that I'll go read the article

    • Ignore, wouldn't have read the article anyway

Overall it's more articles read. Maybe a disclaimer or have it respond to votes or comments of good bot/bad not
