It doesn't matter if it was tongue in cheek, if my dumbass took it seriously then you know other dumbass people will take it seriously. And I guess my main issue is about the vocal intent to cause harm which is demonstrated by their mention of making sure to stay safe on the sidewalk.

Nah, reddit is a lame horse long past the point of getting put down being a merciful thing to do. The only reason it lasted so long is that there wasn't a viable alternative because everything else that cropped up got overran by nazis or tankies (mostly nazis from what I've seen) and that's why I'm glad reddit is cannibalizing itself. It's going to give rise to the fediverse because it can't be overran by either side of the damn horseshoe and it can't be overtaken by corporate interest which is going to attract the middle of the road user that makes up the majority; yeah it'll take some time but it'll happen and I'm not saying it'll be the main thing, I'm just saying it'll be a viable alternative.

That's along the lines of what people said in response to me claiming since about two years ago that he'd be charged with anything at all before the next general election and yet here we are. You're not being realistic, you're being pessimistic. The shithead fucked with the system, they're going to make sure he can't hold a public office again and even republicans that are upholding their public facade of support are chomping at the bit behind closed doors for his conviction.

He's not wriggling out of this. Dude tried to overthrow the government, they're going to hit him with everything they can legally prove. I know a lot of people are disillusioned with the system because the wheel of justice has been grinding slowly but it has also been grinding thoroughly. Motherfucker is going to be 00 flour by the time they're done with him.

You've got a bit of a point there I'll give you that but it's an apple to oranges comparison, unless you're intentionally trying to cause them to crash by not helping them fix their car. The person I originally replied to is advocating intentionally trying to cause a crash.

Legally you are correct but ethically you are wrong. If they include false data that causes a crash, everyone that intentionally contributed that data is morally at fault. You don't get to wash your hands of it just because the business is the one legally liable for it.
