I would like to contribute to lemmy but I have issue with the docker image. I got this error when trying to execute docker-compose up : "ERROR: Service 'lemmy' failed to build: the --mount option requires BuildKit. Refer to https://docs.docker.com/go/buildkit/ to learn how to build images with BuildKit enabled"
I executed the commands that was in the link in the error message and I still have the same issue.

This community is more active and it's not on Lemmy.world so people on Beehaw can see all posts !scrobble@feddit.de
When someone posts something on a server he joined, the post doesn't appear directly on the community from another instance. Why is that?
Good question
Having evolved from the very first true headphones designed by Nathan Baldwin in the 1890s, these listening machines are now an extension of our personality. The last century has seen headphones go from bulky audio equipment to lightweight cans that sound very close to what the artist intended to cr...

I use Lemmy.world regularly and I have never seen any toxic content. Also, most of the instances have very loose requirements to join so why did it only decide to defederate 2 instances?
Microsoft has always weird names
The problem is that there's a limited number of big instances that may not fit your need. In centralized social media you are also free to go on a competitors so in the end there's no big difference.
I never saw any toxic users on lemmy.world and if i found some I can simply block them.

Why would I join an instance about music for example to end up subscribing to communities that have nothing to do with music?
So if I'm interested in many topics I have to create an account on every singles instance?
Same problem, no matter how much I sleep, I'm always tired
Is it still possible to subscribe to communities from those two instances?
Especially when you can't create communities on Beehaw and Beehaw is the only instance I know that have no downvote button
Kool Keith - Black Elvis 2
Chino XL & Stu Bangas - Gods Carpenter
I'm really disappointed by the inactiveness. I know small communities that are very active outside of Lemmy so the number of users is a bad excuse. I will there was as much promotion for lemmy as Mastodon had
