or maybe we acknowledge these issues and browse lemmy for entertainment and getting away from the stresses of daily life rather than be constantly reminded of it and roped into repetitive discussions that are preaching to the choir
err, what I meant was we need to burn down the system
I love how most major US companies commit crimes against humanity and that's considered very normal and business as usual but whenever Saudi Arabia diversifies its funds it's suddenly the most horrifying inhumane maniacal evil thing imaginable and we get 500 articles reiterating that. They spent money on football? They're sportswashing us! It's all a conspiracy!!!
Meanwhile many US companies run on child slavery, others like Nestle extort precious materials from Africa and intentionally de-stabalize countries there, many western countries such as US support genocide in Israel and so on. But that's just business as usual, can we PLEASE focus on Saudi Arabia's spending on sports?!?!?
You really don't need to care about whatever's happening with Threads as a casual user
To be fair they completely restarted development a while ago because they said they weren't happy with how it turned out. They didn't expect it to take this long.
A massive company not wanting to be part of a niche potentially controversial event also harms noone, but here we are rage-posting on social media and people in the comments harassing others for not agreeing with them...
I just need 1000 rockets, thanks
I've asked this in Lemmy a few days ago and got some really good answers! The TL;DR is it seems like an acquired taste, those that use it love it but others thing it's not that important if you know what you're doing and don't break your distro.
What the hell, this still happens? This was a bug I had like 6-7 years ago. Same problem, KDEWallet popping up asking me for verification even though I never used it.
I think my problem is less the size of the game and more the user experience when it comes to these games. I love Elden Ring and Tears of the Kingdom even though they're considered kind of overwhelmingly big, but I've enjoyed exploring it and having fun with it since it just drops you into the game and eases you into it.
Meanwhile, something like Skyrim and other RPGs makes me roll my eyes a little at the amount of things and markers you're supposed to be looking at. I hate entering a new town and getting lost and having to look for everything. I hate markers telling me I should look everywhere and finish 20 quests.
Mostly aesthetically, but also since Linux Mint is a very stable distro updates are usually slow and the packages it uses are often a little outdated. If you're the type of person to want to update to the newest thing as soon as it's out, then it's probably not for you.

It appears that METAL GEAR SOLID Master Collection Vol.1 requires a controller, and it won't officially support keyboard and mouse.

Ah boy, bad PC port incoming...
It's browser based which means there's no bare metal CPU or GPU calls in can make.
Here's hoping WebGPU can fix that in the future.
Photopea is just amazing and has a lot more depth than people realize. I just wish it wouldn't struggle so much with high resolution pictures! Sadly it gets pretty sluggish at resolutions higher than 4k.
Woah, what caused the sudden jump?
Wow, you are fast. I came to post it as soon as they announced it on Discord and here you were, 3 minutes earlier.
But does he have the 5 certificates required to qualify him going to the interview?
FF16 looks incredible, but sadly I don't own a PS5 so I guess I'll wait for the PC version to come around. I hope it isn't too far away...
Transistor is amazing. Be aware that it was free on the Epic store at some point, so if you redeem games a lot you may already have it in your inventory.

The soundtrack is a placeholder, apparently. Looks pretty good!
I hope you can zoom out the camera though... The game looks a little cramped.
SCS Software is testing out in-game ads in American Truck Simulator.
Kind of a hilarious, yet probably effective marketing strategy.
