What is NT?
The only NT I know is Windows NT (I'm old)
but was probably just a VC bid... Funny how that stuff never materalizes.
Your own comment has the answer
Everyone can visualize volume and distance really well in their own head. Doesn't mean they're right. Try it for yourself, maybe you're gifted?
We just aren't really taught to visualize our weights and measures, it's why newscasters keep saying shit like "8 Olympic swimming pools!" Or "the size of three football fields"
This really isn't an American thing - it's just human, we can't really visualize dimensions accurately unless we have a good reference. Some may measure the Olympic swimming pool in feet others in meters, but the effect is the same.
I saw that too, and many of them claimed they learn both Metric and Imperial British systems and convert between them all the time. So this stood out now:
For the most part, we generally only use pounds, feet, miles. Everything else is a mystery. Even ounces, cups and gallons are some fucking magical mystery. Just follow the recipe.
I'm from a country that has salty relations with China and I think it's good they're embracing EVs. It will push my own country harder to catch up and as long as it's adopted more sustainability than ICE it's good for the planet as a whole.
It's a different post/thread - you can tell from the time lines with the chimp one being made in 2018. However, no idea what the context of that was, and I'm not going to use Xitter to find out.

I used to think like this too, but with Reddit Apps moving over to Lemmy I find real potential and usability here. It won't happen overnight, but the chances are not nil.
I'd imagine a tech company would find it more interesting, it has a lot of user generated content to feed AI training (admittedly there is a lot of bot content, but they'd have tools to detect humans I guess?)
Sure sure, but the comment above wanted the person to rot in jail for the rest of their existence. Which is why I mentioned a very specified a situation where the crime is clear.
You're arguing for cases where an innocent person may be found guilty - which is a very valid argument. I'm trying to figure out this crowd that wants people to suffer forever while they won't even think of that person again in their life, besides maybe pay taxes to keep them alive.
Cultural differences. Like the Korean ones, Indian bathrooms are generally designed to drain water from the whole floor, but instead of the center, the floor usually slopes down slightly to drain in a corner.
In the ones that do have a wet area - like in higher end hotels, there's usually a glass door as a separator.
Do they deserve that much money?
As long as the employees are paid fair and well for their work, and the company is financially sound, they should.
The problem is almost all of them rake in millions at the cost of employees/customers/business or all.
Please, just go back to Reddit. You belong there.
when i have to convert cm to m I move the comma
I feel the real war we need to fight over is whether the decimal point or the decimal comma is the one true decimal separator.
It's written on the label/signs where we bought it from.
