Oklahoma Republican on death of nonbinary teen: We are a "Christian state and will fight to keep out that filth"

  • This stuff, right here, is why I have distanced myself so hard from the Christian church. They feel like a hate group now, and it's depressing. None of these people behave the way I was taught to.

  • I can't drink alcohol for medical reasons. It interacts badly with one of my prescriptions. It's really weird how often I have to tell people about it. Nobody really pressures me after I say "medical reasons", of course... but I'm very familiar with that confusion people get.
