  • Its titles like this that kinda make me understand why some republicans think climate change is all about controlling people. Like obviously there is more nuance to it than that but who writes that and thinks it's a good headline.

  • Part of it has to be that it's fucking expensive. I know it's not exactly a one to one comparison but I live in a legal recreational state. It's 25$ (including tax) for a 1G vape. that's a lot less than that amount to get equivalently intoxicated with alcohol.

  • You know just because a fascist says something doesn't make it untrue right? Like always double check what they say but them saying it doesn't make it untrue. The UK is following so much closer behind the US than some people want to admit. Hell half of Europe is still an elections away from ending up with a far right candidate. Now that Trump has been president for a bit I wonder how much of that immediate reaction you saw with Germany will continue.

  • I mean this very genuinely. When the next admin comes into office I hope they fire every single person who was involved in it and didn't stop it.

If you're the guy pressing the buttons to make the satellite de orbit quit your fucking job before doing this.

  • You're still ignoring the core problem in that children can't do any of those things by themselves anymore and all of them cost some amount of money with the exception of playgrounds and parks. Growing up the closest one to me was about a 30 minute drive so I would never be able to get myself there.

  • Do you realize how hostile the outside is to non-adults? Like genuinely I've seen people call the cops because there was a kid riding a bike unsuprivized in a suburban neighborhood. Malls are dying and there's nothing to replace them as a meeting spot.

This isn't even getting into the seeming requirement to spend what feels like 100$ to see a movie now or any of the other stereotypical hang outs. Or how many people have parents that simply do not have time to drive them places.

I'm genuinely interested in your response because I genuinely think the world has become actively hostile to kids being kids.

  • I can't pay down my debt right now. I'm actively looking for a job for over a month with god knows how many applications. I've heard back from three places McDonalds, an entry level car repair job, and devil corp. I know I am not alone in this.
