  • We use both. But y is the traditional British English spelling.

  • To be fair, most people don't need gas. A forward thinking government would convert everyone to heat pumps out of it's own pocket. Within 50 years it'd pay itself off and in the meantime we'd be close to energy independence.

  • I'm not sure how that would look? We have companies selling both solar roofs and batteries in the UK and he doesn't own any land for power generation. Even as a supplier, it's a very saturated market. I mean, he's a dickhead, but he's not the boogie man.

  • I'm with you. My curiosity has me looking at it, but he's very much unscrupulous and only out to make profit. Especially given the troubles he's put his car business into. It's sad that Britain Gas is such a cluster fuck that anyone can waltz in and we all pay attention hoping for something to upset the status quo.

  • I'm with most here in that I have little warm feelings towards Musk, but I'm curious about the subterfuge here? Isn't he just essentially opening the door to selling preexisting products directly? Specifically the solar roof shingles and the powerwall. Both of which are already available in the UK via third parties.

  • How far off of this being normal are we?

  • Apparently he's gone on strike to try and force the move. Newcastle aren't even against letting him go. They just wanna bring in a striker first, only issue is no one seems to wanna go there. They're gonna end up with Nicholas Jackson 😂

  • I saw something a while back that suggested there might be issues with that.

  • I would go one further and say the left side has gone as far as it can. Martinelli doesn't have the mentality of a starter but is a very very good squad player. The fact that he tried to emulate Trossard's style and hasn't progressed proves that. As for Trossard, he's just limited and the easiest to upgrade upon.

  • You have to think of it like this

    • Havertz/Gyökeres
    • Saka/Madueke
    • Martinelli/Trossard
    • Ødegaard/Nwaneri
    • Rice/Merino
    • Zubimendi/Nørgaard
    • Lewis-Skelly/Calafiori
    • Timber/White
    • Gabriel/Kiwior
    • Saliba/Mosquera
    • Raya/Kepa

On top of that we have Zinny, Jesus, Dowman, Lokonga and Nelson. All of which we desperately want to sell, minus Dowman. Not to mention some other kids like Salmon. I think we'll push to try and get Rodrygo on loan too, so the problem won't be not enough option, it's going to be giving everyone enough minutes.

I think the smart business is to bring in Eze, but him coming in will worry and unsettle Merino, Dowman, Nwaneri, Martinelli, Trossard and Madueke.

  • So the narrative coming out is that now Ethan's signed, we don't need Eze and that's actually crazy. Ethan was always staying and Eze was supposed to be unrelated. Also no matter how much we like Ethan, he's not shown glimpses of being an assist king in the making.

What I actually think is the case is that with Dowman impressing in preseason, we feel confident enough in him that we're determined to give him minutes this season.

Despite all that though, I do still want Eze. I think we can bring out the best in Ethan with Eze, Gyökeres and Saka as the runners ahead of him. Not to mention that Arteta said last year he believes that Ethan can play as a striker too.
