How many of you are using ChatGpt to help you with your work, and not telling your boss/co-workers?
  • I've run emails through it to check tone since I'm hilariously bad at reading tone through text, but I'm pretty limited in how I can make use of that. There's info I deal with that is sensitive and/or proprietary that I can't paste into just any text box without potential severe repercussions.

  • We just lost 3TB of data on a SanDisk Extreme SSD
  • My only big drive is just for games. I have two internal 1t drives one hdd and one SSD for storage on my computer and four external 512g drives as backup to those. It's not the best solution, and it's kind of clunky but I'd rather have something than lose everything to a bad drive.

  • Hobbies have been killed by money making side hustles
  • Ran into this issue with my daughter when she was trying to sell her stuff at local business and craft fairs. Some of her stuffed animals would take her 5 to 10 hours to make, and would price them accordingly, with some of her largest items being close to $200us.

People would get sticker shock, and even after explaining that not only did she spend a full work days amount of time crocheting the item, she would also hand spin a lot of the yarn she used as well, they never seemed to realize the actual value of her stuff. It seemed to usually be people of my generation and older that had the most issues. She sold most of her stuffies to people in their teens and twenties, and a surprising amount of yarn to really old ladies.

  • A new trend in tipping emerges
  • What you're supposed to do with these and the bible verse ones is at least leave a decent tip to go along with this so the server finds it at the end of their shift with their money. Instead, people just leave these pieces of trash.

  • A Delaware city is set to give corporations the right to vote in elections
  • This is just about the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Corporations should never have been granted any rights in the first place, and here's Delaware, already giving corps a vote and trying to expand it. This is pants on head level stupidity.
