Ah, yes, my Fortnite controller which I use to Fortnite with other Fortniters with my Fortnite console. Is this like a new version of when Boomers used to call anything even tangentally related to video games "a Nintendo"?

I have a few domain names, including firstnamelastname.co.uk. I mostly use it for spam monitoring; everyone gets a different address, so eBay has ebay@, Microsoft has microsoft@, etc. It's harder for them to link my identities together and if I suddenly start getting fuckloads of spam I know who leaked/sold my address. Fuck you, LinkedIn and LastFM.

I also had my own email server until recently (MailInABox on Proxmox), but I was looking for a cloud storage provider so I ended up signing up for Proton and moving my email there.

I currently have my full name on GMail and Proton, but I actually had my first name on GMail when it first launched. As in, if my name was Brian (it isn't (it might be (it isn't))) I had brian@gmail.com. Sold it for £1000.

Many of the allegories from the likes of Descartes and Aristotle use the concept of the mind being manipulated by demons - a common trope of their times - but the concepts being explored were the same as people talking about being a character in a book, or a brain in a jar, or a computer simulation; they're just using the prevailing ideas of their time to communicate ideas to their contemporaries.

I'm currently running Timberborn on a potato. The NPCs don't perceive their world's lag: they are part of the world.

This is why it's important to listen to the eyewitnesses. Their perspective might not be perfect, but it's authentic.

Once you've used one you'll be angry that they're not standard, at least on desktop/kiosk devices. USB-A also had that as an option.
