“Don’t wait to be hunted to hide, that was always my motto.” ― Samuel Beckett
@c3manu@chaos.social I was in America for y2k and people were panic buying like I’ve never seen before, cans of food, non perishable anything edible and giant plastic, sealed waterproof tubs to keep it all in, was very surreal.
Day one on Mastodon vs today

@c3manu@chaos.social I feel like I’m going to be shouting at the screen a lot because while there was hysteria the y2k bug was a real serious problem!
Has anyone seen this? Time Bomb Y2K
"An immersive, all-archival retelling of the "Y2K" millennium bug and the mass hysteria that changed the fabric of modern society."

@drakenblackknight@mastodon.online that was one of my first ideas, but I’m wondering about newer options too
@jacqueline@chaos.social @hermlon@yuustan.space oh I’m into it, thanks for the heads up
Me trying to show my normie friends #Mastodon.
Hi #Mastodon and #fediverse toops, I’m looking for recommendations for a fairly cheap mp3 player that does Bluetooth audio and maybe also an audio jack?
I want to be able to listen to music and audio books entirely separate from the confines of my phone.
@laurens Thank you! I came across a lot of articles when looking through a US newspaper archive for news on hackers from 1999 and just kept digging, it is fascinating because it was like a template for conflicts that came after.
