Jews were able to make the world remember [the Holocaust], and the whole world bows to them, being afraid of saying one wrong word to them

The history of Germany is a copy of the history of Belarus. Germany was raised from ruins thanks to firm authority and not everything connected with that well-known figure Hitler was bad. German order evolved over the centuries and attained its peak under Hitler. This corresponds with our understanding of a presidential republic and the role of a president in it

To add to this, yes, other lemmy.world users will see it, but if the post gets deleted over there for beehaw reasons, we wouldn't know or have any say, it'd be gone if beehaw ever went down, OP will never be able to participate in discussions, posts made on beehaw that violate our rules will still make their way over here, and more. It's just not a good fix. Let them be a splinter community and repost the links and images to your home instance or a relevant instance.
not gonna lie comrade, this seems extremely unbalanced, I'm not even half way through and we've already hit the population crisis smears, atrocity propaganda, "Chinese companies are poisoning baby food for profit", China waging a "war on terror", somehow criticizing China for being a hyper-authoritarian hellscape and the wild west at the same time, and then some. I'm gonna finish it out but unless this was all a big gotcha this is basically straight from US official propaganda
Start infights. Identify ideological differences that are relatively close to fifty-fifty in support and inflammatory in nature, and pick a side and be really loud about it, especially detracting from the opponents. DeSantis/Trump would be a good one. Maybe "Russia is better than America" from the right would get some bites
They did defederate with us (lemmygrad) long before the reddit drama actually, and definitely for political reasons, but as of lately their reasons for their recent defederation from the other, less-political instances seem much more pragmatic. There was talk of defederating with lemmy.ml too for similar reasons to why they defederated from lemmygrad, but I'm wrong about the recent reasons, the newer defederation surge seems to be for a multitude of reasons.
When some liberals find themselves on the right wing of an argument, a really common rhetorical strategy they use is to pivot to accuse their opponents of being socially backwards. Most of the anti-LGBT critiques coming from the Beehaw camp are just materially uninformed attempts to claim moral high ground and deflect away from an actual heavy hitting discussion
The US knows what it's doing with these sanctions. Possibly as many as millions will die, but it's tactically expedient for the US for that to happen. Not a fan of Russia, but their continued dealings with Pakistan are granting them the oil they need to prevent at least tens of thousands of deaths.
It's crazy how thoroughly memory-holed the entirety of the soviet space program was. They clearly won the space race, both as a matter of technological progression and social milestones, but somehow the US state managed to hoodwink its people into believing that the space race was always about landing on the moon, not putting up a satellite wait no putting a person in space wait no not that one either putting a person in orbit shit they keep beating us
That's true, but if you're voting and commenting on those posts, your discussion is all isolated from the OP and the admins and mods who control the post. You're better off grabbing the link/image and posting it outside of a splinter community (Beehaw).
In short, the majority of the fediverse was (and probably still is, despite the large influx of redditors?) highly communist in nature, but Beehaw, being predominantly moderated by liberals, were getting so dogpiled for their aggressive anticommunism that they just threw up their hands and started defeferating with any instance that disagreed with them from the left at the drop of a hat. At this point they're probably cut off from 75% or more of the fediverse and I'm sure blissfully ignorant in their little liberal bubble. We're probably not getting them back and to be honest I'm not sure it'd be rewarding to have them back, if their users want proper discourse they can just make an account over here.
fwiw, you can't actually vote and comment on them, when federation is removed that means every communication from here to there is ignored - posts, comments, votes, user DMs, all of it. We can still see their posts, but what's happening is we're federally pulling their posts over to our side, you're voting and commenting on them, this instance is recording those votes and comments, and when it tries to send them over for federation purposes beehaw rejects them.
like how we're all mutually agreeing to live within the social framework of the lemmyverse? I'm no anarchist but this is about as anarchist as voluntary organization of people gets
I get the frustration with liberalism, I deeply, truly do, but they were spot on, supporting Kaczynski is extremely reactionary and as a queer person it's extremely alienating when I see other "leftists" into him for what are basically cosmetic reasons because "muh industrial revolution bad" without even digging an inch below the surface in analysis.
Each "instance" (beehaw, lemmy.ml, lemmygrad, etc) is like its own small self-enclosed Reddit. "Federation" is the process that allows the instances to talk to each other - like for example, users registered at the beehaw instance can go and comment on posts from the lemmy.ml instance. This allows each instance to keep its own culture while granting the breadth of community of having every user able to interact with every other user. Some communities "defederate", which basically means an instance decides that for whatever reason they don't want their users interacting with users from another instance. So the network isn't fully connected, but instead forms a distributed network. Totally down to answer more quetsions despite my account only being like an hour old lol
he may be a socdem but good environmental policy is good environmental policy and critical support should go where critical support is due. Thanks Lula 🙏
