  • Thats such a good way of explaining it so people understand, Ill start using that example

    Edit: to clarify in case there is confusion, im not trans, just like the explanation and will use it in future

  • This is how i feel as well. I understand im a cog in the machine, but i just want a relatively comfortable life until the sweet embrace of nothingness takes me in

  • Thanks! Ill take some time to look into what you said and try to really understand it, but if I need some help I'll ask you. As for how many splits a TUI might have, I dont know because I need it to be quite general so that others can use it for their own purposes. Me personally and for this specific project, Ill mostly need a bunch of columns (like blue and green in step 2) as well as the "special" windows, for my application. I'm trying to make a trello/kanban style app with ncurses and C.

  • I corrected it and restarted the ssh service and then logged in as test user but it still give the same output. Tbh I havent slept so I think I should leave it until tomorrow and look at it with fresh eyes.

  •

    $ cat /usr/local/bin/login-alert.sh
    #!/bin/bash

    # Sends alerts only for real terminals not cron jobs
    if [[ -n "$SSH_CONNECTION" ]]; then
        USERNAME=$(whoami)
        IP=$(echo $SSH_CONNECTION | awk '{print $1}')
        HOST=$(hostname)
        DATETIME=$(date)
        /usr/local/bin/semail \
            -s "[CRITICAL] SSH Login to $HOST" \
         	-b "Login detected:\n\nUser: $USERNAME\nIP: $IP\nTime: $DATETIME\nTTY: $SSH_TTY"
    fi

    I feel like since Im already using systemd to monitor the directories it would be best to have everything working with systemd, also because I will be adding several other such functionalities to monitor various things. For example something I already implemented is a systemd service + timer combination to periodically check the main branch of the git repo for changes to the servers local repo, and if there are any to pull them and restart any services necessary to reflect these changes on the web app, then once again email me that that happened. This way i dont need to actually connect to the server to update any changes, just push code to github.

    This is my first time doing a project like this, so this might make you seasoned sysadmins yell out in horror, idk, but since Im the only one who can push code to the repo I feel its quite safe, and makes life a lot easier for me xD

  • Ill remove the dir parameter and add the stdout logging and come back with more info.

    As for the subject body, I set those from the -s and -b flags respectively when calling semail

  • Ill try adding the log options, and come back with results.

    As for the sshd config, UsePAM is set to yes.

  • Permanently Deleted

    Jump
  • Ill take B with a side of C

  • Ill try with a slightly newer version to see if maybe it fixes, though I doubt it. Its highly likely its something to do with bspwm (my window manager) and my general configuration.

    Edit: Tried both Beta 1.8 and beta 1.8.1 with no difference :/ I could always play on a server but I really just want the solo experience to take things at my own pace

  • Im not sure if Im understanding correctly. The other commenter on this post at this time mentioned going into the settings for the launcher and setting resolution from there. If thats what you mean, I already tried 1920x1080. Ill try 1024x768 now and edit this comment with the result.

    Edit: No change with 1024x768 either

  • While I dont really have any relatives who skate that does make sense, since probably you all have similar feet shapes. As for the big toe spacing, I found some RB Lightnings that are available in a store near me (sadly closed until almost the end of the month due to summer holidays) and they also have the Lightning Ws which come in smaller sizes but should be the same generally as the mens version. Also, the white+aqua colors are great imo!

    Guess I need to wait until the end of the month to actually go and try them on and see how they fit!

    Thanks!

  • If all goes well with job applications, I expect to be asked to travel to NL for interviews. If that happens, I will definitely visit the skate shop in Amsterdam and try some on. Ive also contacted a group in my local city that does runs for fun to see if they can help out in any way, will ask them now if they can help with fitting

  • Thanks! To he honest I mainly see myself commuting with them, not super interested in the tricks part. If Rollerblade is a European company id happily buy from them. I know (i think) that Powerslide is European.

    Also, I think id like to go for a hard shell boot with the possibility to change frame/wheels.I think in the beginning if i find a boot that i like, then i can change the frame and wheels easier to suit my preference and skill level.

    Is it enough to measure from wall to big toe (putting foot against 90 degree wall and measuring distance to big toe) or is there something else I should measure to find the boot with best fit possibility?

  • Can someone please link the non paywalled article?

  • This is exactly how it is. You set up your entry level filters for your desired fields in linked, and get the notifications! (EXCITEMENT)

    Turns out theyre entry level jobs requiring at least 2 years experience in the field...
