Data privacy: how to counter the "I have nothing to hide" argument?

    Edit: to be clear, people in the comments have already provided many examples of situations where corporations/governing bodies have misused specific people's personal data (zoom employees watching webcams without knowledge), however I also don't think it makes sense to brush off the impact of mass data available as a result of much of the population freely giving away their personal data.

    I haven't tried Fear & Hunger yet, but what I know about it sounds fantastic if you're into punishing dark and unique games. That being said, don't watch too much of a preview for this one. I was spoiled on some of the earlier surprises and challenges and it looks like such a ride!

  • Yep, that always seemed to be the reasoning, even if downloading the Signal app takes no more than 15 seconds to download and start using.

    Though I definitely get not wanting to juggle 3 or 4 chat platforms.

  • Got a surprising amount of contacts to move into signal from Whatsapp, though the iMessage gang can't stop iMessaging.

    As an android user, I don't see why you would want to use something that restricts your secure messaging to a single platform.

    As a result of Signal's poor decision to stop SMS service, I frequently forget to check my SMS app for messages.
