Barefoot shoes for basketball

What are your recommendations for barefoot basketball shoes of any at all. There are two schools of thought that I've seen.

One says, that basketball is a very intensive sport and barefoot shoes dont give enough cushion supprt for all the jumping and quick movement.

The other side says, that any movement you make is a natural movement and playing with cushioned shoes transfers all the impacts to your joints that cause damage over time.

The narrow toe box of bb shoes also doesn't help, I've been wearing barefoot shoes for around 6 months and I can't find a basketball shoe that is wide enogh without it being too long for my foot. I usually wear EU 42-43 but now bb shoes around 45 are roughly wide enough but extremly too long for me.

Does anybody have any recomendations for barefoot bb shoes or just bb shoes with a wide toe box?

I seem to have hurt my shoulder? What now?
  • I've been told that as long as there's pain that shouldn't be there, don't do that until the pain is gone. I'd still move the affected muscles a bit to see if it hurts but don't overdo it. Use smaller weights or even without weights and see if the situation improves in a few days or so.

  • How would you go about making a rubber dog toy?
  • What about making a ball out of rope? You can get hemp rope or even make it yourself if you've got a lot of time to spare. You can have a rubber core so it's squishy and a rope shell to protect it, if she wants a squishy ball. Or make it completely out of rope so it's more durable but then it depends if she would like it.

  • How come they haven't come up with something like a reverse exo-skeleton where the joints resist your movement and simulate gravity. I guess your organs are still free floating but it's better than nothing.

Another idea would be to wear a magnetic full body suit of some kind and have the floor pull you down. I guess that would use a LOT of energy.

  • New nuclear reactors are fully or nearly fully automated I think. If humans disapeared overnight, they can fully shut down by themselves. Also newer reactors are made so that you need to actively monitor the reaction to even keep it going unlike old reactors (that are not in use anymore I think) that had you monitoring it to prevent it blowing up.

  • Agility Robotics has opened a factory in Oregon to build 10,000 of its 'Digit' humanoid robots a year.
  • I always find it a bit inefficent to build humanoid robots to replace humans at a task. They're very complex and slow. Why not spend the money and rethink the task ie. warehousing already has been automated as well as a lot of things in manufacturing.

Don't get me wrong this is very cool to see but I can't think of many use cases for this.

  • Reverse Proxy vs VPN: How do you access your home-server?
  • Never open ports to the internet unless you want everybody to see it. Always use VPN to access your selfhosted stuff. If you've got a lot of VPN connections to set up, try generating a QR code for the connection. Makes it a bit faster to setup the client.
