Trump denies aid for Arkansas after storms that killed more than 40 people
  • This is in preparation for California wildfires.

He's setting precedent with an exponentially smaller disaster in a red state, as political cover for future denial of relief funds for the much larger Blue State seasonal disasters.

  • Japan orders dissolution of Unification Church
  • Most successful assassin in modern history, maybe all of history?

He killed Abe for his UC ties, and a short few years later, no more Japanese UC.

Has any other politically motivated assassination so directly, and spectacularly, achieved it's aims?

  • Decades Ago, Columbia Refused to Pay Trump $400 Million
  • Oh God. Please don't view this Ivy League institution as a victim.

Trump is a fascist, but that doesn't make Columbia "good".

They're just feeling the possibility of a little blowback from what Ivy league institutions and their graduates have collectively done this country. Boo-hoo.

  • Trump envoy: Putin not planning to invade 'all of Europe'
  • Well, yeah.

Europe is continent sized piece of land. Russian tanks rolling into Moldova is a bit different than Poland, or Germany.

    Different politically, militarily, and strategically.

Even then, I can't see Putin biting off any more at this particular moment. Time will tell if Trump significantly eases sanctions to a degree that would enable him to speedily recapitialize.

Of course, I didn't believe he'd actually try and take Kiev, so I'm not going to sit here and cosplay as a Kreminologist.

  • Sen. Fetterman must resign | Opinion
  • Part of explaining why these policies are bad, means explaining alternative policies, which for Democrats means "means tested", some "undefined consensus policy", or something else equally as idiotic.

So while I mostly agree with your sentiment, the DNC is structurally incapable of doing what you're suggesting.

People didn't vote in Trump because the status quo was working, and the DNC won't change, because it's working well enough for their short term interests.

  • Queens mass shooting leaves 10 teens wounded outside NYC event space, police say
  • Streets gangs are organized, but have largely had their leadership structures dismantled through RICO.

Most, if not all, of these kids are set/clique banging. Their outbursts of violence tend to be more about bloodfueds, and less protecting their rackets market share, or profits.

  • Joy Reid Takes Apparent Shot at Pelosi for Thwarting AOC: ‘This Gerontocracy Seems Like It’s Intractable’
  • It's so much funnier than that. She claimed she was hacked, and that the homophobic blogs were planted by said hackers.

If I recall correctly, she even hired some fraudulent and/or idiotic cybersecurity consultant to bolster her claims.
