  • I think people are more talking about believing in scientific institutions to ensure credibility and good faith research. Not necessarily that an individual institution is credible, but more the scientific community as a whole can be relied on.

Science is absolute, however the way we interpret and understand it isn't flawless and at the end of the day some level of belief has to be put into the fallible people behind it.

  • Hey now. The US also lost a war against jungle villagers, and then later started losing wars against inanimate objects like drugs.

  • The circle of life?

That sounds like of like the circular water cycle, which means...

<insert gold medal in mental gymnastics>

... the economy is therefore a liquid and trickle-down economics does in fact work.

  • This looks photoshopped but i don't know why. The bottom line of text has no warping while the top line + image have more noticable warping.

  • I love learning about quantum physics from YouTube, but my impression is a lot of it ends up being "particals are just silly little guys at the quantum level" or "we have two models: one for normal big physics and one for batshit crazytown tiny physics".

  • It seems like this is more nuanced than simply black and white. Of all the jobs I've worked, about half of them had/have any ramifications for being late.

One job I had, if I wasn't on time to start the production process, the evening crew would have to stay later to finish. My current job on the other hand is WFH and project-oriented, so as long as I'm not late to a meeting, I could start 2 hours later and finish 2 hours later.

  • Maybe they were worried that you'd drive them crazy.

  • Absolutely no joke I would watch this all the way through.

The biggest complaint about Hallmark is how they lack creativity and every plot is the same. I feel like the missing piece to their formula is absurdism. Like a love child between the princess switch 2: switched again meets sharknado.

  • Of course not. To even imply that it's cringe is an attack on the class.

  • Or even crazier, the one raised by the Fr*nch

  • But like... Don't we all?

  • It's not any of our jobs to educate you.

  • I thought "feeling like a man" meant eating a lot of meat and losing money on sports betting.

Idk I don't do traditional man things.

  • I would have expected her to be one of those annoying un-set cards that make you irl get into a batshit crazy argument and ruin everyone's night in order to tap the card for one mana of any colour.

On the plus side it has she has bat synergy with some of the Bloomburrow cards.
