  • The actual answer is 2/3rds of congress. If two thirds of congress decided he can't be president because they believe he wasn't born in the US, regardless of the evidence, he'd be disqualified then too. (As an example)

  • Yes, any state could do this. No state will decide who goes on their ballots until after the primaries though. They can "declare" things all they want, but nothing is actionable until the ballots are finalized (and then the suing starts).

  • The laws for who goes on the ballot are set by the individual states.

I suppose the Federal Election Committee could deny his federal application, or the Attorney General of the U.S. could sue the FEC to force an injunction against his filing under the 14th? It's not clear.

In any case, regardless of how it got there, it would end up in court and be decided by the Supreme Court, which is ultra conservative right now.

  • It's a super low bar. The story just has to have two women talk about something other than a man. Troi telling Beverly how hot Yar was would technically pass the test, yes.

Correct conclusion though, more diverse groups of writers is definitely the way to go.

  • Cisco has a market cap of a quarter trillion, sadly yes, they're still around.

I like Juniper gear. Even with their current supply problems I'd probably still try to go all juniper if I had to make a decision.

  • The U.S. government puts out travel advisories for countries, informing its citizens about the relative safety of those places.

For the really bad ones, there are dire warnings about how likely death is.

There are probably many places people shouldn't visit on the fediverse, and I think what's missing is a way of warning people that they might be stumbling into one of those places. If instances could issue "advisories" to let people know that they're about to visit a hive of shit posters and putlerbots, and flagging accounts as belonging to such hives, it would go a long way toward solving the problem.

I say this because defederation is tantamount to a travel ban, and that's a big step.
